How to Configure a Private Status Page

IsDown offers multiple methods to restrict access to your status page, ensuring that only authorized individuals can view sensitive service information.

There are three distinct methods available to ensure the privacy of your status page:

  1. Semi-Private Status Page: If you enable a status page without setting a short URL, IsDown will assign an UUID (Universally Unique Identifier). While this doesn't make the page fully private, it adds a basic layer of privacy by hiding the page behind an unlisted URL.

  2. Password-Protected Status Page: You can also choose to protect your status page with a password. This option is available near the bottom of the status page settings. Once enabled, only people with the password will be able to view the page, adding an extra layer of privacy and control.

  3. IP Protected: Another option is only to allow specific IPs to access the status page. You can define a specific IP or a range of IPs.

  4. Status Page SSO. Set up SSO to protect your status page.
