# How to Filter Outages by Specific Components

Customize your notifications to receive alerts only for outages affecting specific components of a service.

1. **Sign in** to your IsDown account.
2. Select "**Monitors**" and then go to the "**3rd Party Services"** section.
3. Locate the service you're monitoring and click on the **Settings** icon.

4. Select **Monitor Settings**.

5. In the sidebar, click **Component Monitoring** and select the components you want to monitor.

6. Click **Save Changes** to apply your preferences.

By following these steps, you’ll only receive notifications for outages affecting the selected components.
